Sub: Inviting application from RTEs/members for participation in Spring Fair Birmingham, to be held at United Kingdom, from 05-09, February 2017– Reg.

1. About Spring Fair Birmingham

Spring Fair has been organized since 1950 (66 years) and attracts over 60,000 buyers. The show’s excellent timing means they’re ready to place big orders for the year ahead and actively sourcing new-season stock. So, whatever the product, there’s a platform for it. Over 20,000 of visitors have a direct interest in products such as fashion accessories, scarves, rugs, cushions, decorative furnishings, bed linen, table and kitchen linen and shawls. The next edition of event will be held at Birmingham, United Kingdom during 5-9, Feb 2017. Detailed information is attached along with the circular. The buyers that attend the show now readily source directly from around the world, making 2017 the perfect time to put your products in front of a UK buying audience. Over 40% of our exhibition halls include these products types.

2. Product Profile: The UK’s definitive destination for the home and gift industry to come together and do business for products for Volume Gift & Home, Fashion Jewellery accessories

3.Participation Fee:
Participation fee for a standard booth of 9 sq.mtrs. would be Rs.3,05,000/- ( Rupees Three Lakh and Five Thousand only)
Corner Charge would be 10% extra on total participation fee.
Participation fee per sq.mtr. applicable beyond 9 sq.mtrs. would be Rs.35,000 per Sqm (only in multiples of 3 sq.mtrs)

4. Grant Details:
• HEPC proposes to participate in this fair under Market Development Assistance scheme of Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.

• Member participants are entitled for participation under subsidised category availing grant only upto a maximum of three participations in a particular trade fair (including past cases).

• As a privilege for handloom sector, member participants with annual export turnover of less than Rs.30 crore in the preceding year and having 12 months membership with the Council are eligible for MDA grant of Rs.1,50,000/- (space rent + Air fare).

• The grant will be reimbursed to the participants on completion of the event and upon submission of all relevant documents.

• Participation in only one event in a calendar month is allowed.

5. Application and Payment:
It is requested to send a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- (Rupees One lakh fifty thousand only) towards advance participation fee along with application (application downloadable from http://homesite.hepcindia.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Application-FORM-International-2016-17-.pdf.) to the council on or before last date of receipt of application as stipulated in the circular.
Payment has to be made through any one of the following mode of payment.
Option-1: Online payment through payment gateway
Option-2: Payment through RTGS
Option-3: Payment through Demand Draft/at par multicity cheque in favour of Handloom Export Promotion Council payable at Chennai, if online/RTGS payment is not feasible.

Amount once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance except cancellation of fair participation by HEPC.

6. Selection Criteria:

• Preference will be given to registered holders of India Handloom Brand • Priority will be given to those who have already submitted their expression of interest along with advance payment provided their applications along with necessary balance payment as specified in this circular reaches the Council on or before the last date of receipt of application as mentioned below
