8TH EDITION OF TEXTIL HOUSE FAIR, BRAZIL, 13 16 AUGUST, 2015

Handloom Export Promotion Council proposes to participate in the 8th edition of Textil House Fair to be held between 13-16 August 2015, at Expo Center Norte, Pavilhao Ameralo, Rua Galateia, Brazil, one of the best events center in Brazil.
Brazil is the most populous country in Latin America, with 190 million of inhabitants, distributed in 5,565 municipalities, 26 states and Federal District. GDP of Brazil is US$.2,477 trillion, being the greatest economy of Latin America and the sixth greatest in the world, with a 2.7% growth in 2011. Brazilian middle class has 103 million people with a perspective to reach 106 million people up to 2016.
As per DGCI&S data, export of handwoven textiles to Brazil has increased from Rs.18.04 crore during 2011-12 to Rs.28.09 crore during 2012-13 with a 55.68% increase and further to Rs.30.76 crore during 2013-14 with a 9.48% increase over previous year. During 2014-15, for the period ending Feb15 upto which the data is available, the export has already reached Rs.42.25crore showing a positive growth of 48.49% as compared to the corresponding period in 2013-14.
As the market offers good scope for Indian handwoven products, participation in 8th edition of Textil House is proposed to capitalize on the market potential in focus LAC region, Brazil in particular. 8th edition of Textil House Fair is focused on the fashion concept Spring-Summer in home textiles. The event is organized by Grafite Feiras e Promocoes, Sao Paulo, one of the important trade promoters in Brazil. Textil House Fair is an International professional fair of hometextiles sector that takes place in Expo Centre Norte – Pavilhao Ameralo. It brings together all the productive chain of the home textiles sector. With national and international visibility, Textil House Fair is strategically designed to ensure excellent deals for exhibitors and visitors.

Participation Charges:

Participation in 8th edition of Textil House Fair is organised under National Handloom Development Programme of O/o The Development Commissioner (Handloom), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. The participation charges are given below.
The Minimum booth size to be offered 9 sq.mtrs. Standard Booth @Rs. 90,000/- per Booth including accessories back & side walls, grey carpet, table, chairs, shelves, Brazilian wall socket (spot light, back light, black letters on fascia booth).
Additional space over and above 9 m2 will be offered in multiples of 3 sq.mtrs @ Rs. 26,500/- per sq.mtre ( non subsidized )
Corner booth will attract 10% extra charges.
Subsidised participation is subject to approval from Ministry.

Grant Eligibility:

Participants with an annual export turnover of less than Rs.30 crore in the preceding financial year ( 2014-15 ) and having minimum 12 months membership with the Council are eligible for subsidized participation charges
Further, the above participants will be eligible for Travel grant of Rs.50,000/- or actual travel cost, whichever is less. However, other members who have not completed 12 months membership with the Council and having more than Rs.30 crore export turnover can also take part in this event by making payment of non-subsidised charges and without travel grant.

Interested member exporters may send their applications in the prescribed format, which can be downloaded from http://homesite.hepcindia.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Application-FORM-International-2015-16-.pdf to the council on or before 17-06-2015 along with full payment by Demand Draft or at par Mulitcity cheque in favour of Handloom Export Promotion Council payable at Chennai.

Applications will be considered on First Come First Serve (FCFS) basis only

Payment received without duly filled-in and signed application and the terms and conditions will be rejected. Amount once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance except cancellation of fair participation by HEPC.
