As a partial modification to the calendar of events proposed to be organised by the Council during 2016-17, in lieu of earlier proposed events namely i) Textil House Fair , Brazil and ii) India Trade Expo , Islamabad , the following events are proposed as replacement for participation in the upcoming edition.
I. Maison & Objet , Paris , France , (20-24 , January 2017 ).
Product profile : Home Fashion and Luxury & Design. Product profile at Masion & Object are Table/kitchen, children’s world & textiles (duvet, blankets, pillows, travelling rugs, cushion, nursery accessories, bedroom linens, table lines, curtains, net curtains, trimmings , curtain roads, blinds, tapestries, furnishing fabrics & carpets Art & decoration, well-being/bath, garden/outdoor, lighting, furniture, objects and accessories, services.
Minimum stand offered- 9 sq.mtrs ( in pavilion design )
II. Spring Fair Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom ( 5-9, February 2017)
Product Profile : The UK’s definitive destination for the home and gift industry to come together and do business for products for Volume Gift & Home, Fashion Jewellery accessories
Minimum stand size offered – 9 sqmtrs
Participation in above event will be subsidised under MDA scheme or DCH scheme. Participation will be undertaken only if a minimum of 10 applications are received .
Application Payment details:
Interested member exporters of handloom products may send their advance payment of Rs.25000/- for the required space along with Expression of Interest application (application downloadable from https:// www.hepcindia.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Expression_of_Interest.pdf.) to the council on or before last date of receipt of application as stipulated in the circular. Payment has to be made through any one of the following mode of payment.
Option-1: Online payment through payment gateway
Option-2: Payment through RTGS
Option-3: Payment through Demand Draft/at par multicity cheque in favour of Handloom Export Promotion Council payable at Chennai, if online/RTGS payment is not feasible.

Amount once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance except cancellation of fair participation by HEPC.
Application received without payment will be invalid.
Grant Eligibility:
HEPC has proposed participation in this fair under MDA scheme of Ministry of Commerce & Industry / National Handloom Development Programme of Ministry of Textiles .
• Member participants are entitled for participation under subsidised category availing grant only upto a maximum of three participations in a particular trade fair.
• Participants with annual export turnover of less than Rs.30 crore in the preceding financial year (2015-16) and having minimum 12 months membership with the Council will be eligible for subsidized participation charges.
• Participation in only one event in a calendar month is allowed.
Selection Criteria:
Selection of participants will be considered on First come First Serve basis. However, preference will be given to India Handloom Brand registered holders and first time member participant of handloom products so that there will be at least a minimum of 30% (three) India Handloom Brand Holders / first time member exhibitors in the event provided their applications are received on or before the last date of receipt of application as stipulated in the circular.
