Sub : Inviting applications from member exporters- HEPCs participation in Hong Kong International Home Textiles & Furnishings fair 2016, from 20th to 23rd April, 2016 Reg.

Greetings from the Council!!!!

Hong Kong International Home Textiles & Furnishings fair- an ideal showcase for Home Textiles, is a spin-off event of the famous Hong Kong Houseware fair, the biggest event of its kind in Asia. Given the ongoing market demand of the home textile industry, the fair, as a professional trading platform, will feature a full range of home textiles (including bathroom, bedroom, baby, kitchen and dA�cor textiles), carpet & floor coverings, upholstery & wall coverings, and other home textile related product and services. This fair is positioned as a sophisticated showcase for stylish, upmarket products of high quality. Located in one of the worlds great trading cities and at the heart of the vibrant Asian market, the fair provides suppliers of home textiles a specialized trade platform in the peak buying season to meet this demand.

During last year, Council participated along with 33 member exporters from different regions across the country. As per the feedback received from the participants, spot order worth Rs. 2.75 crores and business enquiries worth Rs.13.34 crores were generated during the event .

For this year, Council proposes to organize participation in this event under National Handloom Development Programme of Office of Development Commissioner (Handlooms). The proposal is under process and awaiting approval.

Due to paucity of time, in anticipation of approval, it has been decided to proceed with making arrangements for participation in the event as per the following participation fee details:

a) Booth confirmation will be given on an initial payment of 50% of total non-subsidized charges for the required space upto 9 sq.mtrs, and an undertaking form (Format enclosed) from the member applicant to remit the balance participation fee calculated non-subsidized rate in case of non-approval from Ministry.
b) In case of approval from Ministry, subsidized participation fee will be considered and the balance fee will be reimbursed. Each participant company (for one person) will also be eligible for Travel grant reimbursement of Rs.50,000/- (Economy class) or actual travel cost, whichever is less and is subject to approval.

Grant Eligibility (Subject to approval from Minsitry):

a�? Participants with annual export turnover of less than Rs.30 crore in the preceding financial year ( 2015-16) and having minimum 12 months membership with the Council will be eligible for subsidized participation charges .
a�? Earlier participation in the event through Council not exceeding 3 times.

Payment Details:

Interested member exporters of handloom products may send the initial participation fee of 50% of total participation charges for the required space along with application and undertaking form (enclosed) to the council on or before 29/02/2016. The payment has to be made by Demand Draft or at par Multicity cheque in favour of Handloom Export Promotion Council payable at Chennai, or the payment can be transferred online to the following account of HEPC :

Applications will be considered on First come First Serve basis. However, preference will be given to first time member exporters of handloom products so that there will be at least two first time member exhibitors provided their applications are received on or before 29/02/2016 .

Payment received without undertaking form will not be considered for allotment. Amount once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances excepting cancellation of fair participation by HEPC.
