MINUTES OF THE EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL HELD ON 30.01.2016 IN COUNCILS PREMISES
The Extraordinary General Meeting of the Council was held on 30th January 2016 at 2.00 pm in Conference Hall of the Councils Premises.
Shri.Gagan Rai, Chairman Chaired the meeting and welcomed the Members/RTEs of the Council present in the meeting and briefed about the important activities taken up by the Council and then requested the Executive Director to take up the agenda item wise.
Executive Director took up agenda Item no.1 and requested the Members/RTEs to consider amendment of Articles of Association as per the directions issued by the Ministry of Textiles/Commerce & Industry, as per the recommendations of the Executive Committee and as per provisions of Companies Act, 2013.
After due deliberations, Shri.R.Rajendiran, Vice Chairman of the Council proposed the adoption of the above and Shri.P.T.Guruvappa, M/s.GBT Exports, Chennai, Executive Committee Member seconded the same. Subsequently all the Members/RTEs present unanimously passed the same for adoption.
It was also decided that the representations of M/s.AVM Exports, Chennai, Mr.Radhakrishnan, Tamilnadu Handloom Industry and Trade Association, Chennai and Mr.AK.Syed, M/s.KAS Zainulabdin & Co (Overseas), Chennai will be taken up in the next AGM after export data is furnished by them to support their request for more representation for Lunghi category.
The meeting ended with vote of thanks to the Chair by Vice Chairman.
