Sub: Non-Tariff Measures (SPS & TBT) face by exporters to be raised in the forthcoming WTO SPS/TBT committee meetings-reg.

Sir/Madam,

We have been informed by Ministry of Commerce & Industry that WTO SPS/TBT Committee meetings are likely to be held during March 2015. These meetings give an opportunity to member countries to raise their concerns with regard to the non-tariff measures relating to SPS/TBT taken by any other member country. This forum of WTO SPS and TBT committees is very important as it gives an opportunity to raise long pending issues, which are affecting trade bilaterally.

We therefore request you to kindly provide SPS/TBT issues regarding NAFTA (U.S.A., Canada, Mexico) and Latin American countries that could be raised as Specific Trade Concerns (STCs) during the forthcoming meetings of SPS & TBT Committee by March 4, 2015 for onward transmission.
